Something old turns into something new

Picture 293, originally uploaded by homebirthmama.

I got quite a bit of linen out of that $7 spent on these size 12 pilazzo linen (Spiegel) pants I found at a thrift store Monday night. What a find!!! I have been seam ripping to save every square inch of that precious fabric. Project in mind . . . Amy Karol's Pleated Beauty Handbag from Bend the Rules Sewing. More details (and pictures) to come!!

That is so funny. I do the same with linen. I'm currently embroidering some linen that used to be a curtain. It is so lovely to work with. Happy to see your homebirth mention. My son was born in a hotel which I am sort of claiming to be a homebirth.

apron thrift girl: I would say it most certainly does count as a homebirth!! Sounds like quite a neat birth story. My 2nd child was born at home right after Hurricane Isabel came through. We didn't have power or water, yet it went well and we all survived!!
